BUNDOORA SHARKS DISCUS CHAMPION

It is with tremendous pride that we recognise Tia Hockey for her extraordinary achievements in discus this season.

On 1st November 2024, Tia made club history with an exceptional throw of 27.68 meters (750g), shattering our longstanding club record of 24.39 meters that had remained unbroken since the 1969/70 season – an impressive 55-year milestone!

But Tia wasn't finished making history. On 24th January 2025, she surpassed her own remarkable achievement with an even more impressive throw of 31.76 meters (750g), extending the club record by over 4 meters.

This phenomenal progression demonstrates Tia's exceptional talent, dedication to training, and competitive spirit. To break a 55-year record is remarkable; to then improve upon your own record by more than 4 meters in just under three months is truly extraordinary.

The Bundoora Sharks community celebrates your outstanding achievement, Tia. Your name is now etched in our club's history, setting a new standard of excellence for future generations of athletes.
